Matrixyl (a peptide complex that reduces static and dynamic wrinkles. This formula contains two generations of Matrixyl (Matrixyl 3000 and Matrixyl Synthe'6).) is fat-soluble active ingredients, the skin easily absorbs. It can repair broken collagen fibres and promote collagen, eliminate static pattern, reaching the skin tight end, interworking with other moisturizing ingredients, can accelerate the effect of skin firming Lahti.
Palmitoyl pentapeptide-4 (Pal-Lys-Thr-Thr-Lys-Ser = Pal-KTTKS) contains 5 amino acids linked to a 16-carbon aliphatic chain for improving the penetration of the molecule through the lipid structures of the skin. It is a matriline. Matrikines are messenger peptides capable of regulating cell activities by interacting with their specific receptors. They activate certain genes involved in the process of extracellular matrix renewal and cell proliferation. By activating the neosynthesis of extracellular matrix macromolecules, palmitoyl pentapeptide-4 provides an anti-wrinkle effect. Studies (in vitro and in vivo) demonstrating the anti-wrinkle efficacy of this peptide have been conducted and published by Sederma and by independent organisations.
Palmitoyl pentapeptide-4 (palmitoyl pentapeptide-3 before 2006) is a matrikine used in anti-wrinkle cosmetics. It was launched in 2000 as an active ingredient for the personal care industry under the trade name Matrixyl by the French cosmetic active ingredient manufacturer Sederma SAS.
Matrixyl was the first in what became a series of anti-ageing actives created by a company called Sederma. It is palmitoyl-pentapeptide 3 and this is a peptide that specifically stimulates collagen synthesis and skin repair. For the detail-oriented amongst you, it is five amino acids linked to a 16-carbon chain, which helps the penetration of the molecule through the lipidic structures of the skin. In early 2013 University of Reading researchers found that Matrixyl can nearly double the amount of the protein collagen needed to give skin its elasticity. The team was led by Professor Hamley, a peptide-file who had been looking at ways to stimulate collagen for wound healing. The Reading University research was paid for by “University studentship with some additional funding by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).”
Matrixyl is a synthetic peptide that research indicates not only helps soften fine lines but works to helps skin repair itself and is highly effective for anti-ageing. Peptides penetrate the skin to promote skin-cell health while calming skin and promoting cell repair. That process is crucial to anti-aging.
Helps stimulate collagen synthesis and elastin. The action is very similar to retinol without the irritation. This treatment softens fine lines and wrinkles, hydrates the skin, and promotes a smooth, plump appearance.
Matrixyl is used in cosmetics or skin care products (stimulating collagen, elastic fibre and hyaluronic acid hyperplasia, increasing skin moisture and water retention, increasing skin thickness and reducing fine lines, can penetrate the dermis to increase collagen, from inside to External reconstruction to reverse the process of skin ageing.).
In 2003, Sederma launched Matrixyl 3000. This is based on two peptides: a palmitoyl tripeptide and a palmitoyl tetrapeptide. They are supposed work synergistically to mimic the appearance of this broken down collagen, causing your skin to react by producing more collagen, as well as elastin.
Created in 2012, Matrixyl Synthe’6 is based on palmitoyl tripeptide-38. As the name implies, Matrixyl Synthe’6 stimulates six major constituents of the skin matrix and the dermal-epidermal junction, including collagen and hyaluronic acid.
