The Acridinium labeling kit contains all the reagents and instructions required to produce chemiluminescent-labeled proteins following a simple one-step procedure. The acridinium compound supplied in the kit contains an NHS ester which will react with primary amines to form a stable amide bond. This kit may be used to label antibodies, proteins, and receptors for use in numerous assays. Trigger solutions for the detection of the labeled protein are also included. An acridinium-labeled antibody was serially diluted from 20 µM to 500 pM, and 10 µl aliquots were detected in a 96 well plate. The detection limit was determined to be less than 5 fmol.
