Traditional purification of samples prior to analysis by EIA has required the use of reverse phase C-18 columns and various organic solvents. As this method relies upon polarity for separation, the final purified product is a non-specific mixture of many compounds. It has developed an affinity column for the easy and rapid purification of cysteinyl leukotrienes (LTC4, LTD4, LTE4) from biological samples. Following application of a sample, the column is washed briefly and the cys-LTs are eluted in high purity for analysis.
