Cholic Acid Interactions

Whenever you take your cholic acid solution dose, avoid taking other medicines by mouth at the same time. Considering that cholic acid aids in digestion, it can influence how well the body absorbs any other medicines you will need to take. Take cholic acid at least 1 hour before or 4 to 6 hours after you take(Cholic Acid Interactions):

• cholestyramine;
• colesevelam;
• colestipol; or

an antacid which contains aluminum--Acid Gone, Di-Gel, Gaviscon, Gelusil, Maalox, Mylagen, Mylanta, Rulox, and others.
Other drugs may interact with cholic acid, including prescribed and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products. Tell each of your wellbeing care providers about all medications you use now and any medicine you start or stop using.
