Chymotrypsin use precautions

1). Allergy tests are required before intramuscular injection of chymotrypsin, and intravenous injection is prohibited.
2) If you have an allergic reaction, stop using it immediately and treat with antihistamines.
3). Chymotrypsin is highly toxic to the retina. Because it can cause crystal damage, do not allow the drug solution to penetrate into the vitreous.
4). The chymotrypsin is rapidly inactivated by the blood, so there must be no coagulated blood at the site of administration.
5). The chymotrypsin is stable in the solid state, but the solution is unstable, and it can lose 50% of activity when left at room temperature for 9 days, so it should be prepared before use.
6). The symptoms of glaucoma caused by chymotrypsin may be relieved by the use of β-blockers (such as timolol) or oral carbonic anhydrase inhibitors (such as acetazolamide) after surgery.
7). Since the chymotrypsin titer drops significantly after ultrasonic atomization, the sputum protease ultrasonic atomization inhalation time should be controlled within 5 min.
