PureCircle to offer fibre, protein and antioxidants from stevia

PureCircle has discovered proteins, dissolvable fibres and antioxidants in the stevia plant and plans to get started the commercial production and sale for these new stevia ingredients in the second fifty per cent of 2019.

The new development, which has recently been possible thanks to “extensive research and development”, will permit PureCircle to make use of much more of each stevia leaf, the Malaysia-headquartered company said.

PureCircle has nearly 400 patents and patents pending covering its proprietary stevia technology. Malaria Malsagov, PureCircle CEO, said: “At PureCircle, we go to sleep at night and awaken up each day thinking about stevia. All of our products are from the stevia leaf, and we strive to make each tea leaf work harder by area code everything this marvel of nature has to offer. ”

He added: “Protein, fibre and antioxidants are in high demand by drink and food companies, and these additions to our portfolio will permit us all to offer our customers those ingredients from the stevia plant. Mintel studies have uncovered that new products launched globally with stevia submitted a 27% increase in the first half 2018 compared to the comparable period in 2017.

In July, PureCircle expanded its convenience of Reb M stevia, as it plans to double production capacity over the next three years.

The company has attained a volume sufficient to sweeten around 500, 000, 000 cases of carbonated soft drinks, but plans to be able to provide enough Reb M stevia to sweeten 1 billion instances by 2021.
