Vitamin E discovery process

Vitamin E was discovered in the 1920s. Evans and his colleagues discovered that rancid lard can cause infertility in rats during the study of reproduction. In 1922, foreign experts discovered that a fat-soluble dietary factor is essential for normal breeding of rats. In 1924 this factor was named vitamin E. In the following animal experiments, the scientists found that if the mice lack vitamin E, they will have heart, liver and muscle degeneration and infertility; if the rats lack vitamin E, the males will never give birth, and the females will not be able to bear the full moon. There are also symptoms of liver degeneration, myocardial abnormalities; monkeys lack of vitamin E will appear anemia, infertility, myocardial abnormalities. Crystals were isolated in 1936 and synthesized by Swiss chemists in 1938. In the 1980s, medical experts discovered that humans lacking vitamin E can cause hereditary diseases and metabolic diseases. With the deepening of research, medical experts have recognized that vitamin E has a wide range of functions in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, tumors, diabetes and other complications, central nervous system diseases, sports system diseases, skin diseases and the like.
