Side effects of Sulfacetamide

The most frequent side effects are discomfort, stinging or burning of the skin. Other aspect effects include nausea, nausea, dizziness, tiredness, and headaches. There are however also severe part effects including severe hypersensitive reactions, like (nettle) breakouts, itch, tightness in chest muscles, difficult breathing and puffiness in either the face, mouth, lips or tongue. Other severe side outcomes include bloody or severe diarrhea, fever, pain, red, blistered or swollen skin and stomach pain. Inside the eye, it can cause conjunctivitis. One case revealed that sulfacetamide eyedrops can very rarely cause life-threatening skin disorder toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN). These are however not all side outcomes. Sulfacetamide should not be employed by those who have a sensitivity to sulfur or sulfa.
